This Privacy Policy explains how the Al Ansari ESS mobile application (the "App") handles your information. The App is published by Al Ansari Trading Enterprise LLC ("we", "us", "the Developer"). The App is an Employee Self-Service client for ERPNext / Frappe HR: it connects to the workspace (server) URL that you or your organisation provide at sign-in and lets authorised employees view and submit HR records. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

data is stored on, and controlled by, that server, which is operated by your
employer / organisation (the "Data Controller"). The App simply displays
and submits that data on your behalf over a secure connection. The Developer does
not operate a central database that collects users' data across organisations.
The App only handles the information needed to provide self-service HR functions, and it sends that information to the Workspace URL you connect to. Specifically:

You may optionally enable fingerprint or face unlock to protect access to the App. This uses your device's built-in biometric system. Your biometric data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to or stored by us or your organisation — the App only receives a yes/no result from the operating system.
The App may display notifications (for example, approval updates or reminders). These are generated locally on your device. You can disable them at any time in your device settings.
Your information is used only to:
Your data is not used for advertising, profiling or any unrelated purpose.
Your information is transmitted to and processed by the ERPNext workspace server you connect to, which is operated by your employer / organisation. That organisation is responsible, as Data Controller, for how the data is used and retained within its system. Beyond that, the App does not share your personal data with any third party, except where required by law. The Developer does not sell your data and does not receive it on a central service.
HR records are retained on your organisation's workspace server for as long as that organisation's policy and applicable law require — this is governed by your employer, not the Developer. Data cached on your device is removed when you log out or uninstall the App.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Because the data resides in your organisation's HR system, requests about HR records should be directed to your employer / HR department. Certain records may need to be retained for legal and payroll purposes even after access is removed.

The App is an employee tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or store listing. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
